Brown, Kuhn IN – Wilson, Rogers OUT

We knew that the decisions on [HB] Andre Brown and [DT] Markus Kuhn had to be made today, and both players have been added to the roster. To make room, [HB] David Wilson (neck) and [DT] Shaun Rogers (knee) have been placed on season ending IR. In the long term, there’s still reason to be concerned for Wilson and I’ll be anxious to see what his upcoming follow-up MRI shows. Rogers, unfortunately, will likely retire, as he will be 35 years old next season. Brown should find himself getting plenty of action immediately, while Kuhn will go to the back of the defensive tackle rotation. That means rookie [DT] Jonathan Hankins will start to get more playing time, especially in the early downs when he can use his size as a run blocker.

Three changes from yesterday to the injury report: [CB] Trumaine McBride sat out today with a groin, after taking a full practice yesterday. Hopefully this won’t turn into a long term issue as it has with Webster. Both [WR] Victor Cruz and [CB] Terrell Thomas were expected to work today after sitting out yesterday, and that’s exactly what happened. Both were limited, and Cruz was wearing a red non-contact jersey usually worn by quarterbacks. He is confident that he’ll be healthy and ready for Sunday’s game.

RAIDERS NOTES: For the second day in a row, [HB] Darren McFadden (hamstring) sat out of practice. As I said yesterday, the nature of his injury indicates that he’ll miss not only this weeks game, but even more in the future. He should be inactive. Added to their injury list today was first round pick [CB] DJ Hayden, who is dealing with a nagging groin of his own (just like Webby and McBride). Remains to be seen how serious that injury is, and we’ll get the game statuses tomorrow.
